Deze cultuur is genoeg voor ongeveer 100 liter melk.<\/p>\n<p>Penicillium roqueforti geeft vlekken of schimmeladeren door de kaas heen, die in kleur kunnen vari\u00ebren door verschillende tinten blauw en groen. Sommige blauwe kazen worden met sporen ge\u00efnjecteerd voordat de wrongel zich vormt, en bij andere worden sporen vermengd met de wrongel nadat ze zijn gevormd.<\/p>\n<p>Blauwe kazen worden meestal gerijpt in een temperatuurgecontroleerde omgeving, zoals een grot.
