Product Description
What is a meat grinder?
A meat grinder grinds your meat into minced meat. It can be used for all types of meat. You then use that minced meat as minced meat, or as the basis for your hamburger, paté or sausage.
Why a Porkert meat grinder?
The Porkert is known world wide as ‘the Ferrari among the meat grinders’. And not without reason. These rock-solid Czech classics have been the absolute top for the home sausage maker for over 100 years.
What should I pay attention to when buying a meat grinder?
The sizes, from smallest to largest, # 5, # 8 and # 10 are most common. Sporadically you will come across a # 12, which is identical to # 10. We recommend buying at least a # 8 or # 10. Bigger simply works better and faster. A # 5 is too small.
How do I maintain my meat grinder?
Your grinder is sensitive to rust and the same applies to the blade and the grinding discs. Therefore, do not wash them in the dishwasher, but use hot water and soap and then dry all your parts very well before assembling or storing them. Additional drying in a lukewarm oven or lightly greasing it also works well agains rust.
What else do I need if I want to make sausages?
- A stuffing tube
A stuffing tube looks like a plastic or metal pipe of around 10-15 centimeters long. This tube allows you to convert your meat grinder into a low cost sausage stuffer in one go. - A stomper
If you want to prevent your or your children’s fingers from turning into a sausage, a wooden pestle is a handy accessory. This will push the meat through the grinder, instead of using your fingers.

This is a very heavy grinder, easy to install and use. Nice to come back to high quality items and not always electronics. I have a feeling I will have this grinder for the rest of my life as it is very heavy and sturdy. Very happy with this product.
